INSURANCE

Most insurance plans are accepted. Please check with your insurance company prior to your first visit to find out if Dr. Weingold is a provider on your plan; to get authorization, if necessary; and to find out your copay. Copays are due at the time of service.

CANCELLATIONS

CANCELLATIONS

Dr. Weingold has a 48 business-hour cancellation policy. Two full business days notice is required for changing or canceling an appointment. For example, a Monday appointment would need to be canceled by the preceding Thursday in order to avoid a cancellation fee. Insurance companies will not pay for missed appointments or late cancellations, so you may be responsible to for the entire fee for that session.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Dr. Weingold firmly believes in and respects each patient's right to confidentiality. Treatment of emotional difficulties is a very private and personal undertaking and it is important for you to feel that your treatment provider will respect your wishes for confidentiality. With a few legally required exceptions, Dr. Weingold will not discuss any aspect of you or your treatment with a third party unless you have allowed this in writing. In rare cases when Dr. Weingold is concerned that you may be at imminent risk of hurting yourself or others, he may contact appropriate authorities to ensure your safety and the safety of others. Like all health professionals, Dr. Weingold is also required by law to report any instances of child or elder abuse to the State of California. In these rare instances, the need to discuss your treatment with another party will be discussed with you.
